Provincial Nominee Programs
Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) can create routes to Canadian permanent residence through individual provinces and territories based on local labour market needs. Each province runs its own streams with its own criteria.

How PNPs Work
Each province operates its own streams designed to target specific occupations, skill levels, or regional priorities. Eligibility varies significantly between provinces — what qualifies in Ontario may not apply in Alberta or Nova Scotia.
Most PNP streams fall into two categories:
Base streams — applied to directly through the province.
Enhanced streams — aligned with Express Entry, where a provincial nomination adds 600 points to your CRS score and can significantly improve your chances of receiving an invitation to apply.
Which Province Is Right for You?
There is no single answer. The right province depends on your occupation, qualifications, work experience, language scores, and in some cases whether you have a job offer or existing ties to the province.
An assessment can identify which streams you may realistically qualify for before you invest time in an application.
Not Sure Which Province
May Suit You?
Provincial programs vary widely and criteria can change. A realistic assessment can help you focus on options that may suit your background before you spend time on the wrong route.
